About a year and a half ago, the doctors told my mom that there was a tumor in her lung. She had numerous checkups and follow-ups for this tumor and it was growing. However, no doctor was confident enough to perform surgery because the tumor was in a sensitive and dangerous area, as she is a 2-time breast cancer survivor and also because she had some lung damage due to a previous onset of pneumonia. In addition, 2 months ago, my mom was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

About 2 weeks after that, I woke up around 5 am and my left hand was burning as if it was on fire. I knew it was the fire of Holy Spirit and so I started to pray and worship the Lord in my room. Without understanding why, I was led to go to into my mom’s bedroom. I obeyed the Holy Spirit in laying my left hand onto my mom’s throat. As I prayed, the fire of the Holy Spirit left my hand and transferred into my mom’s body. Although my mom didn’t believe me, I took it by faith that Jesus was healing my mom and gave a testimony of what happened at a ECF service. My mom’s surgery was scheduled for the morning of March 13, and she had a lot of mandatory tests, scans, and blood work done before the surgery. We were all in shock when the tests and the CT scan showed that there were “no abnormalities in the lung”. The growing tumor in her lung had disappeared!! The scans showed that cancer cells in my mom’s thyroid were still there so she went into surgery as scheduled. As she left the house at 4 am I prayed that there would be no cancer in her body. During the 4-hour operation, the surgeon came out to my dad and told him that oddly enough when he had sliced open her thyroid, there were no cancer cells to be found. Praise the Lord!!

I believe that Jesus is desperate for us to believe and trust in the power of His unconditional Love in every situation, every trial, every battle—until the very end… and for our own good! There is no better way to live than knowing that you are secure in the Father even when all the circumstances say you are not. Jesus is so faithful even when we are not. We are always lacking but He is always enough!!

The night of my mom’s operation I had a dream that my mom was going to speak at a women’s conference. She told me she was going to give her testimony that she was blind (literally) but that now she can see. As this would be very uncharacteristic of her in the natural, I know my Jesus is doing a new but constant work in my mom’s heart, mind, soul, and strength. She may not know it yet but He is creating a testimony for her to be a light unto others! Again and again, Jesus reminds us that this amazing grace is for everyone and that He can penetrate any hardened heart, all because He loves us. His Love is enough.
