On Saturday, August 1, we had a historic Beach Day. We went where all the people were and we went with the joy, love, and power of God. We had great passion to see the people of Orange County experience the love of Jesus and the reality of His Kingdom. Sure enough, the Kingdom of God showed up in Huntington Beach through God's Kingdom Ambassadors-us. Here are some of the highlights:
Prophetic Evangelism:
One teams was ministering to a group of young people. One of the girls in the group was a professing Wiccan-which is a type of witchcraft. One of our team members started seeing a vision from the Holy Spirit about this girl. He saw her with a younger sister, clinging to her younger sister like glue, while frantically lost. As he began to speak prophetically into her life, she was astonished at the accuracy of his words. She left them with something to think about.
Power Evangelism:
One of our teams was led to a group of young girls. A drunken teenager was entertaining those girls, along with another older man-who looked straight out of Pirates of the Caribbean. We joined their conversation and saw that the Pirate guy was giving them all nicknames and telling them about their destiny- we didn't have a good vibe about this guy. Anyways, we weren't afraid because we come from a superior kingdom. We noticed that one of the girls- Julie had a brace on her wrist. We asked Julie about what happened, and found out that she fell off a wall, ouch. We boldly declared that she could be totally healed right now because Jesus loves her. Julie was startled at our boldness. Too startled, and they walked away. Interesting enough, after about half an hour, some of the girls on our team ran into that group of girls again! They offered prayer again to Julie- the girl with the wrist injury. This time, Julie opened up! Instantly, the pain left! After the prayer, she took five steps backwards, as she was tripping out over what had just happened! Julie began to testify to her friends, "The pain is gone!" One of Julie's friends also needed healing for a bruised rib, and our team rebuked the pain and watched her get healed as well. All the girls now in the group were now interested in our Jesus, our team members prayed with them all together in a circle, and took Julie's number and hope to follow up with her.
As one of our teams was walking down to Main Street, a team member spotted a young man with a thick brace on his wrist. As we stopped to talk to him and his friend, we found out that the brace was the result of a skateboard accident. As we began to pray, the young man noticed the pain leaving. We found out that the young man and his friend were both believers- we asked the friend to lay his hand on his injured friend and pray with us too. We wanted to encourage them that healing was not hard. As we prayed the second time all together, the pain completely left. We spoke prophetically over their lives and about their gifting and destiny.
Preaching Evangelism:
One of our team members started preaching in an open-air setting, while the crowds passed by. He then asked the throng of people, "If anyone is sick, hurting, or you have some kind of pain in your body, we want to pray for you, you will be healed in Jesus Name!" A few people came forward, and the Lord touched some of them.
